The Bridge over the River Kwai
This Oscar winning movie was actually filmed in Sri Lanka, and on a recent road trip (if those can truly be had on an island) we had breakfast at a hotel built just a few hundred yards from the filming site. The countryside is beautiful, this particular spot so peaceful.
